Swap ’til you drop!
Here’s something I’ve never heard of before. Swap-O-Rama-Rama. Sounds like a great idea!
Swap-O-Rama-Rama is a clothing and craft supply swap that is taking place this coming weekend in Vancouver. Check out the website to learn more.
Basically it’s exactly what I’ve described – a clothing and craft supply swap. But there’s more. Here’s what happens at Swap-O-Rama-Rama:
- You bring a bag of unwanted clothing from your closet, and the $6 entrance fee
- Volunteers sort your clothes onto swap tables
- You go “shopping” and fill your bag back up!
The neat thing is, you can also bring along leftover bits of craft scraps to donate, and they have sewing stations where you can embellish your “new” clothes with funky stuff before you take it all home! They have workshops throughout the day that teach you how to make cool embellishments for your clothing, like hand-made buttons and felting.
